These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Fragment mobile application, website and related services (the "Service"), operated by Fragment ("Fragment", "we", "us" or "our"), a sole-trader business based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. By creating an account, downloading or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Fragment is a focus and screen-time reclamation app. It lets you block distracting apps, schedule recurring focus sessions, set goals and micro-targets and use a limited number of "emergency fragments" to temporarily regain access to blocked apps. The Service is a commitment device: it is designed to add friction, not to remove it.
We may update, add or remove features at any time without notice. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.
To use most features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You can sign in with email and password or with Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple.
You may delete your account at any time from the app. Account deletion permanently removes your goals, sessions, folders and personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service. Users under 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian. Fragment is not directed at children under the applicable age and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Fragment Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks unlimited sessions, goals, targets, custom folders, advanced insights and a longer emergency cooldown. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) as in-app purchases. All billing, renewals, refunds and cancellations are governed by the terms of the store you purchased through.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. To manage or cancel your subscription, use the settings in your Apple ID or Google Account. We do not control store billing and cannot process refunds on their behalf. Pricing may change, but any change takes effect only at the start of your next renewal term.
Emergency fragments let you temporarily unblock apps during an active lockdown. They are intentionally scarce. Each use triggers a cooldown during which no further emergency fragment can be spent. The default cooldown is shorter; Fragment Pro extends it. Once committed, an emergency fragment cannot be reversed or refunded, even if the unblock was brief or accidental.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or restrict access if we believe you have violated these Terms.
The Service interacts with your device's operating system to block or allow apps and uses Apple and Google for sign-in and subscription billing. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the conduct or availability of third parties.
The Service, including its name, design, text and code, is owned by Fragment and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or content.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that blocking will be unbreakable, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free or that it will achieve any particular outcome. You use it at your own risk and remain responsible for your own decisions and conduct.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fragment and its providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages or for loss of data, productivity or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or, if greater, the minimum required by applicable law.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete your data in line with our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including billing, disclaimers and liability) remain in effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will also notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and Fragment agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia, except where mandatory local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
